MRI of the prostate is becoming more and more a part of the work up of prostate cancer in males. At Montclair Radiology, we offer Prostate MRI (UroNav) that is useful in detecting suspicious lesions in the prostate.

This technique relies on the different vascularity and vascular permeability of cancerous tissue vs benign tissue in detecting prostate cancer. Its main use is in the imaging of male patients who have undergone a negative prostate biopsy, but who still have elevated PSA values. Please don’t hesitate to call and speak with one of our staff members if you have any questions regarding MRI of the prostate.
